Church of the Advent

This project involved the comprehensive renovation of a historic 1860s building, requiring careful preservation of its character while navigating over 150 years of existing conditions. Prior to construction, the team led an extensive value-engineering effort to align scope and budget while salvaging and maintaining key original elements. Work was executed in phased sequences, including ceiling removals and the installation of temporary platforms to safely complete overhead work. Throughout construction, the team proactively addressed delays and design challenges stemming from multiple rounds of drawing revisions, ensuring progress remained on track. The interior was fully renovated from cellar to attic, preserving original stairwells while transforming the expanded attic into a modernized space that highlights the building’s exposed historic beams.
