Car owners in Virginia have likely noticed the trend of added car washes appearing throughout the DMV metro area. Scott-Long Construction is part of this trend. In December, the team at Scott-Long Construction will be building a new location for Station Auto Wash Express. The build is part of the Car Wash company’s expansion plan.
The combination of increased vehicle ownership, affordability, technological advancements, environmental consciousness and new express models has contributed to the recent growth of the car wash industry.
Scott Long is pleased to announce that Station Auto Wash, an industry leader in innovation for the past 20 years, has selected their commercial construction company to build their latest express model in Sterling, Virginia.
“Scott Long has successfully built two car washes for us in the past and we felt that their experience, expertise, professionalism, and collaborative team-based approach made them the perfect choice to build this new exciting express model,” states Ryan Magazzine, Station Auto Wash owner.
The new express wash is designed from the ground up to provide a true quality wash experience from beginning to end. The trip through the ultra-modern 150ft wash tunnel with enhanced LED lighting begins with 3 pay stations featuring license plate reader technology and a specially designed wash menu.
The soft-touch wash tunnel will be equipped with closed cell foam technology with 18 chemical functions including a graphene application insuring a clean, shiny car safely on a dual belt conveyor system with the ability to wash 3 cars per minute. The vehicles will then be dried in a drying chamber equipped with 17 blowers with a total 255HP to insure a dry car at the end of the wash tunnel. The self-serve vacuum stations will feature extra wide parking spaces for comfort while customers clean the inside of the vehicles. Additional enhancements will be provided at the vacuum stations never seen in the market to further enhance the convenience and experience to our customers during their visit.

The new car wash location for Station Auto Wash Express is expected to be complete next July.
